TT bearing replacement tech in Maryland/south PA?
I’ll have my transmission down soon and although the TT bearings seem fine, I’m up for replacing them. Are there any mechanic/techs in this region who do this type work with our TTs? Thanks…

ship it
the new TT will come freshly powder coated,
and with perfect new bearings and a new driveshaft if you order a 300M shaft from GB.
If you want he can send you the bearings and you can do the swap

I had this service done, including having the new bearings placed, so all my shop had to do was install the drive shaft; I don't regret it for a minute; their service is fantastic and placing the bearings means you know without a doubt they are in precisely the correct place and installed as designed. When I did mine you sent your torque tube back as a core exchange; not sure if that is the case today. I've had Constantine's bearings for going on 9 years it must be with zero issues whatsoever.

The actual torque tube bearing replacement is one of the easiest parts of the job you are undertaking especially if you are using Constantine's bearings. The only thing you have to watch for is signs of runout on the shaft (one of Greg's units is a good idea anyway) and making sure you have the right amount of shaft showing so that the rear pinch bolt can be slid into place which is covered very well in Dwayne's thread. If you decide to rebuild the stock bearing carriers everything you need is now available from 928intl. Don't forget the torque converter carrier bearings as well, the catastrophic failure of which is what caused my misadventures in this area.
