Remember that the cel light on my car do not blink... maybe the chip is going fast to max setting because of E85 fuel.

Ken:
It goes away for a very limited time, then it comes back. I'll hunt down my OE chip sometime this week after Thursday.

OK. I may have to changeover my brain to programming mode and sort it out sooner than later.

For more saved data I considered making the most used low rpm columns temporary as there is some unsaved memory available. I may have to revisit this.

The last question I had about your chip was if the timing was always being removed and if there a way to put timing back in, without a hard reset.
My concern was the ignition timing being drug down too far on hot day, or on a tank with poor fuel, or for any other number of reasons....

While I don't know or understand anything about what the programming is, inside this (or any) chip, (nor what it takes to make various changes),
might it be possible to have the chip automatically add back in 4-6 degrees of timing when the key is shut off and the engine cools down to a certain point, with a maximum amount of changes (in case of multiple cold restarts?)
Seems like this would give the engine a bit more timing, when started cold, the next time.

Ken:
Simple resets seemed to work, but my Kid just unplugged the battery for the day at the dealer (I borrowed a 992 for 3 days for my birthday there), and it's been fine for 4hrs of driving now.

Any progress here?

Indeed! After some frustration I am pretty sure I have cured the stutter problem and improved part throttle performance in the process.

Additionally, there is now an automatic mini-reset. This shaves off any overly large retard each time it is started cold. This was not the problem but it should keep from having to do most manual resets.
