Famous People and the 928
#62
My car was owned by Len Steckler who directed some movies and tv, and is a painter.
Alan Thicke, I remember reading a tv guide article about him back in 1985 or '86 that mentioned him pulling up in a new 928. Why I remember this, I do not know.
On the registry, there is one that was owned by Olivia Newton-John. I doubt it was hers, as she has a prius now, and before that had an Audi station wagon, she's not flashy. Probably her ex-husband's, her nephew told me how the dumbass had spent $100,000 modifying and ugrading a toyota pickup truck over 4-5 years. She bought her sister a couple of 944s though.

Not to dwell but a driver very lucky to survive that was current F1 driver was Ruebens Barrachello...........there's footage of his accident as his careens into a fence at very high speed.
On topic: don't consider many movie stars as famous...........there's a few Rennlisters who are infamous though

Tex Schramm, long time GM of Dallas Cowboys, had a red 85 automatic. It was absolutely perfect when I had it on test drive in about 1990. However, when I got back someone had already bought it for significantly over the asking price. My son and I did enjoy the ride though. This was when I knew I would have to have a 928!

I saw a video clip a few years ago of Jerry Seinfeld getting out of a black 85/86 928 just like the one in the photo and talking to the paparazzi. It stuck out with me because I have a black '86.
