Hi guys,
I've had some interest in the car. I did a virtual tour and had some phone and email conversations this weekend. People are trying to arrange a viewing trip to Chicago in the next couple of weeks. Nobody has pulled the trigger on purchase as yet, but I think I will delay my move from Rennlist until mid June, before Cars and Bids or Ebay.
Thanks for your interest,
Dave

Hi Guys,
I sold my 928 this morning to a Rennlister with the forum name Kandlhoft. He has an 84 924 and wanted a same year 928. He seems like a real enthusiast, and I know he will get the same support that you all have given me.
I tried to remove my ad from Marketplace or add SOLD to the title, but can't seem to do it. Shouldn't matter, since most of my contact on the car was from this forum directly.
Thanks for everything. I will miss the car and I will most definitely miss you guys. The new owner reminds me of myself, so the circle is now closed.
Thanks again,
Dave

Congratulations, Dave!
Knowing it went to a true enthusiast makes letting it go more tolerable - I can attest!
It goes without saying, but you are more than welcome here and at the upcoming 928 events. Heck, I attended them for two years BEFORE I even bought my first one! You can still talk 928s!

Lucky new owner
Hello to everyone here that has helped Dave over the years! I am a long time lurker on Rennlist and have found the detailed support on the forum invaluable and inspiring! For the last several years I have worked building my 84 944 into a dependable running machine. I had my eye out for a 928 and saw Dave’s post. It instantly resonated with me.
I am thrilled to carry the torch on Dave’s fantastic 928 supercharged project that he has worked on for the last decade and a half. I know both Dave and the community have my back and I am excited to experience 928 ownership.
Here’s to many many more years of joy (and frustration)!
Thank you all again,
Jake

Dave, I'm gathering that it was more important to you that this great 928 end up in the hands of someone that would appreciate it as you did. It looks like you found that guy.
Congrats to both of you. This car has been blessed with good mojo for many years to come

Dave, you've been a great owner and enthusiast. I know that life grows and changes, and sometimes that includes ditching all your friends and fellow addicts moving on to other things when the time comes. Thanks for all the friendship we've enjoyed over the years, and I hope that you have great luck and support for your next adventures. We'll miss you!

Thanks, Bob.
The new owner, Jake, specifically asked about you, based on his reading on the forum. I told him you are a great resource, and a great guy.
It's funny, but there is a real sense of loss after selling the 928. Not just the car, but the interaction with the people on the forum.
Thanks to all,
Dave

You know that a family member is always a family member, and always welcome back. The forum is littered with folks who have moved on from Porsche ownership but still enjoy the people. I spend a lot more time here than I do driving the car these days... Need to get home and do some motoring.
