Default Restoring 89 fuse panel-question

I am restoring a spare fuse panel for an 89-
2 of the grounds we cut when removed from donor car-
They are currently to short,
Rather than splice a ground, I would like to remove the wire entirely and replace with a new whole wire.
How does the wire come out from the area where the relays plug into?
I have a few pin tools

Guess it’s a splice.

The contacts that are the relay base come out with a small flat pick inserted from the relay side behind the solid face, Depress a small tab there and the contact can be withdrawn to wards the wire side. The last time I worked on one of these (a couple decades ago now...), I was able to get replacement terminals from the VW parts counter. Since then, our vendors have been able to supply them.

I wouldn't place a splice on any wire behind the CE panel, knowing how easy it is to fix things correctly.

Note before you remove any wires mark every slot your removing a wire from ,
as if you put the wire back in the wrong slot you can fry the whole panel.
Take pictures as well.

There are splices and then there are splices.
If you were to use one of the crimp, solder, seal splices, you'd be fine. (Not one from China.)
Anything else and you better change the entire wire.

GB can you post some links or pics to quality (non-China) splice connectors-

I have been disappointed with junk in past-

I had to do a connector on my ABS wire when the screw would not budge-

I am not good with solder

IIRC that terminal block and cover are both still available as replacement parts. Coat with Vaseline after replacement. No Splices in that ABS wire please.
