Thanks, I'll keep them in mind for sure, Martin I think I spoke to? Sounded troubled when I spoke to him, work piling up and people leaving, Covid working conditions making things very tough. They'll get through it I am sure and they come highly recommended by Flat Six Classics where I bought my Boxster.
I'm guessing your car is more or less same as mine except yours is an 86? 4.7 16v?

Quick update: I have run out of brain power and talent, but fortunately found a local indy that knows 928s and can have a look at this for me so when I get some info in the next few weeks I'll post it here to help those in future. Thanks though everyone who has contributed here and given me further insight into how these beasts work.
The beauty of the LH/EZK system is that it is a relatively simple system, the downside is when it does go wrong chances are there is naff all one can do about it except replace something that costs lots of $$$'s! I have a spare set of computers, injectors, MAF and bags of various other trick bits and pieces that I know work so that in the event of a problem I can eliminate them from the problem. I recently had a starting problem that took me a while to fathom out and it turned out to be the ignition switch that has an intermittent fault. If that thing does not liven up the 15 bus you are going nowhere fast!
Hopefully your "go to guy" will be able to diagnose the issue. Unfortunately my "go to guy" who I consulted every time I had a problem has just left Oman and returned to Bonnie Scotland with his family after many years of loyal service over here. Now I feel as though I need my own diagnostic capability as there is a limit as to how much one can do without such. At least I got to use my laptop oscilloscope at long last [Dr Bob please note!].
Do keep us informed as to how you get on.
Rgds
