Default Valve body parts

Hi All,

I removed my 4 speed valve body a couple of years ago due to bad flaring during certain shifts and a delayed engagement in one particular situation. I found the K2 spring was shattered so replaced that and the K1 with the Mercedes ones. I split the valve body and just checked for any blocked passages but didnt see any other issues and nervous of doing more damage I put it back in the car and the flaring was fixed but still had the delayed engagement. If I slow to a stop and accelerate everything is perfect, if I slow to say 20mph and then accelerate it doesnt feel fully engaged for a second and then thumps into gear. So I drive around this problem by gently getting back on the gas.
I’ve replaced the modulator and checked the vacuum so I’m planning on pulling the valve body again to check all the other springs and pistons, I figure if one failed from fatigue there’s probably another one in there. Shifting in all other situations is perfect.

My question is, if I do find a broken part are they available to buy individually? I’ve only seen upgraded parts being sold individually by Mercedes, where do the guys who rebuild these things get their parts from?
I found a lot of stuff like this but it lists the valve body as a single unit http://jenniskens.livedsl.nl/Technic...and%20kits.pdf

Thanks,
Gary

We stock the upgrade spring kit https://928srus.com/products/s68165g...ion-spring-kit
We also stock the complete rebuild kit, all the available individual parts and rebuilt torque converters.

Replace the Teflon piston rings on the valve body pistons and you won't want/need a "shift kit".
(Stiffer springs are a "patch" for leaking piston rings.)
