Came across this Youtube channel the other day. It only has two videos so far. In the second video the guy claims that between he and his brother they have owned more 928s than anybody in the US. Hey maybe that's true, but my guess is that Mark Anderson holds that distinction. At any rate he clearly knows the cars and the first two vids would be a good general information watch for anyone looking to learn about the 928s.

Very informative for anyone thinking about an entry into the 928. I really enjoyed his 911 comparison (evolution vs innovation) narrative.
However, I couldn’t finish the videos because the abrupt edits triggered my crazy.
I think they were doing it for effect...

Nice to see another 928 fan post very worthwhile and informative history. I like his take on the timing belt change interval. Mine was changed back in 2007 based on time, (7yrs.) not miles(3900) and again by me in 2013,(6yrs.) again more time than miles(17900). Both times the belts looked brand new, with stamped information almost perfect. Minor barely visible cracking on ridge line of Conti, and none on the Gates. No issues with either wp. At the 2nd change I added the PKT tensioner, and Constantine's clamp and torque tube.
I just visually checked the belt and everything is perfect. Since I do not drive it hard and always open the hood when parked to let off heat, I don't really see any reason to do the service at this point. I have added 42K miles since 2013 w/o any issues at all.
The accessory belts have very minimal wear and some very minor cracking so I ordered a set from Roger and will change them. If the belt was in their condition I would change it also but it looks great. Probably going to open a can of worms from the sky is falling crowd.

I took a look at the first video he posted. At the 2:16 mark and continuing to 2:30, I thought 'what on earth!!". Watched that interior segment 3 times, and there is no doubt - that is the car I owned (and did some interior modification on) from 2006 to 2015! Key interior items that show up are: 1. steering wheel is from a 996 turbo, 2. shifter is from a Volvo, and I embedded a Porsche tie tack emblem in the top of it. 3. It's an automatic car, but has the 5 speed shifter surround in the console. 4. A European Becker DTM radio in the console. 5. The wiring harness was in place, so I bought and installed the 3 position memory buttons in the passenger door. Oh, and it is the only '94 in the US with wood option interior. Anyone want to give odds that there is a 2nd identical 928 interior in the US (or world??) Not shown is that the springs are Eibachs and the shocks are Koni.
I sold the car to a man and wife who owned a winery near Portland in 2015, (he owned a business there as well). The car was sold on BAT about a year ago, and I have no idea who bought it. Just know that 'WAS' my '94 928 GTS for 9 years, and is a great car.
Thanks GT6ixer for letting me reminisce for a few minutes (well, maybe only a few seconds!).
