Default Transmission vent tube - how to replace?

The vent tube on the reservoir of my 86.5. auto is cracked, but I don't know how to replace it. I don't want to just pull it out as it may be difficult to get it back in (please!) so I'm looking for advice.. Help very much appreciated!

I have just replaced the vent pipe on my GTS transmission- not sure if yours is identical to mine as the reservoir tanks changed at some point but I was a bit concerned doing so.

I cut a length of 3/8th inch hydraulic hose- as I recall it was 14cm long and it push fitted nice and snugly both ends. i was considering using a hose clamp either end but figured as the stock item did not need it my handy work should be OK.

That tiny plastic nozzle on the tank looks a dead ringer for snapping off- the nozzle on the gearbox is fine.

When removing the hose from the tank i used the blade of a wood chisel and eased it under the hose and then put some upwards pressure on the hose to help ease it off as I twisted the body of the hose hoping to release without using undue force and snapping the nozzle off. I pulled off the tranny end first.
