Ok then I will find a good used distributor . Thankyou all I'll report back if it cures my problem .

Update : I've fitted a second hand distributor and I now have my spark back . So it appears that the non sparking problem was the trigger sensor inside the distributor. Now to sort out its fuelling and running issues . !

Thanks to all who contributed and helped . This forum is an absolute wealth of information .

make sure to use the Bosch green wire,
its quite possible that the new green wire damaged the coil inside the distributor.

I just has another customer tell me his car had started to run poorly this after he installed a new aftermarket green wire,
After reading this thread he got a Bosch green wire and the report is that the engine in his car is now running great.
