If you turn the ****, the lights should adjust up & down.

It's a purely hydraulic system. No need for the lights or the ignition to be on.

However, virtually NONE of the systems in the cars still work. They leak and fail.
I would be very surprised if yours (or the car you're looking at) still work.

Roger sells a kit, there’s also a thread here somewhere where someone re-filled theirs but it’s a pain.

There's a write up in the "DIY" section.

It's not an easy process. Many have failed, including me.

The 'kit' mentioned above is the complete system. Sealed & filled.
The problem is that there are a couple tubes that have to run through the car. From the parking brake to the headlights.
I have no idea how much needs to come apart to get it installed.

I'd really like to have mine working, but the effort & cost really isn't worth it. I'm in the US, where it's not required, so I don't have to have it.
Don't know where you are or what the rules are there.

I am also trying to get my levelling system working.
I've been told that there are write ups for both the new hydraulic set installation and also converting over to the later electric system but I can't find either? I have found how to restore an existing hydraulic system in the diy section but nothing else. Can anyone help with either please?

Mine doesn't work either, but that would be a great winter project at some point! I'd love to see it working.
To me, little projects like that is half the fun of these cars. It's very satisfying to take something & refinish/rebuild it and make it work & look like new again.
