On a 928, no reason to remove the rear wiper. It's a good, functional design.
By comparison, on a 944, it's terrible. The motor is actually moned to the hatch glass and adds a lot of weight that the gas struts have to overcome, so they're stronger than they should be and the way the hatch glass is bonded to the frame, that extra force contributes to the glass delamination issue.
On the 928, the hatch itself is a much more robust design with the glass in a metal frame and the motor mounted in the rear of the car with a spring loaded coupler that mates to the pin on the wiper assembly. The sowing allows the pin to engage with the motor during the first cycle od the motor even if the wiper was initially out of position and then work thereafter.

“Un-delete” it is!
Sorry again for the Hijack - listening to the crowdsourced input I’m confident about getting back both the rear wiper (now) and side moldings (when I repaint the car in its it’s original black pearl metallic as it is currently plain black).
Thank you!
Thank you!

Agree again, I deleted the rub-rails, rear wiper, hatch release and headlight washers from the Outlaw GT as well as their supporting motors, tanks and wiring. Useless items on that particular car as were a number of other items.
That said, I would never alter any of the cars that have their original paint and low miles.
To each their own...

Mine went even a step further - no side markers and no antenna hole. Sides and roof are totally smooth and love the clean look.
