that's the Weissach suspension they explain... in corners the rear wheels steer a bit in the right direction instead of the wrong one without it . Should prevent oversteer.

That is the legendary Weissach rear axle - one of the more significant developments from the 928. It creates a passive 4 wheel steer in corners under load. Lot's written about it.

That parking lot chat reminds me of how we will be at frenzy in a few years LOL
Thats the best display of how the rear axle works. and why you dont want the blade portion to be bent
Then that dude catches air over the hill.

LOL Stan!!!!

I'd not seen that video before.
Obviously jadz928 has, based on the logo inset.

It's amazing that exact car exists today and was resurrected by one of us here, jadz, first with the vision to know what it represented and then physically with a bunch of cleaning, tuning and TLC. Number six is a remarkably complete solid survivor.

Thanks for posting the clip.

Yeah, number 6. I remember well when it came up for sale. I was in a video store in Montana (remember those) and talked to Jim for nearly an hour about that car. Couldn't have landed in better hands.

That's one of my fav images of #6.
And then he bottoms it out on the landing, sparks and all!
I imagine how many times they practiced set-up for the shot (which was well done by both driver and camera operator).

Thanks goes to Christian C, a French 928 enthusiast, for sharing this video with me.

Seriously, that was a great demonstration of it. Makes more sense now.

One blade was bent on mine which now has been replaced....and i have two new bushings to go in.

This production obviously took place at the press launch with the chassis shot in the hotel next to one of the Petrol cars. I love how they pass the Le Mas d'Artigny sign during the driving portion! And check out the angle on that "black" Aerial ! This is a great piece to have with car #6.
