Have a look at the door jamb pics in the 1st post in the thread, it's a late year-production 1980, it still has a 10-digit VIN- 92A0811642. It was the 8th to last 1980 US production car.
I no longer put any faith into what Porsche claims with regard to what MYs they offered particular colors. This doesn't even include those dreaded "L999" cars that simply have a standard body color offered from an earlier or later model year.
That said, this does look like L708 to me.
I would prefer it to be, but that's just me. Maybe it's just the camera.
My 81 is Mocha Brown (sticker and my eyes say so) and the car in question looks nothing like it.
This isn't a rare color, find another one and park next to it.
Whatever people want to believe is fine with me.
Pretty sure that the car in the first post is the super rare Mocha Brown with metal flake added...and the different "more black than brown" tint added to the paint.
