Hayden 3700 - 1700cfm - 13.7A
Hayden 3710 - 1825cfm - 17.6A
I purchased the 3710.
Good resource for aftermarket fans
Here's a cost comparision SPAL
Good CFM per amps (w/the strainght blade), but not a good price.

So, you're just going to have the one pusher fan? Is the Hayden enough to make up for both that and the lack of the belt-driven one? I've thought of doing this, but it seems I'll be keeping my cat in one form or another for the time being.

I PM'd Mark from FL because I was curious if one fan would work, especially in the FL heat. He said he had since added an electric fan (rad. side) in addition to his Hayden. I don't think it was becuase of overheating issues though. I do think that's all you need though Jim. I'm sure your next T Belt change will be a lot easier.

Jadz,
Could you clarify for me please?
It seems as if the Hayden unit is wired in as an exact replacement for the oem electric fan: the difference being a signifigantly greater capacity. This being the case (?), the fan activates full time when A/C is turned on. With A/C off, the fan is only on at demand - that being controlled by the thermo switch in the rad.
Is this correct?
A very clean install - one I'd like to do on my '80 (Which never had the air pump, only the fan belt tensioner).

Garth,
Thanks!
Yes, direct replacement, greater capacity.
You are correct. AC on/constant on. AC off, regulated by rad temp sensor.
Stock rad temp sensor is 83 deg. I'm changing mine to 75 deg, along with the t-stat, per DR's (928Spec) recommendation.
