We also think my illness may have been created in a lab by the Czechoslovakians! Working theory....

Wish I could have made it, looks like a great time. Those bad rolls tend to follow Hans around. He and I had some in the hotel lobby in Austin last summer

I regret that I couldn't make it. I even had to cancel my hotel reservations. The car just wasn't going to be ready in time.
Guess I have plenty of time to get ready for the next one now.

Yes we try and have our vehicles at these event. Most important is just being with these people, friends, and admirers. I have driven a kia to this event and no one looks at you differently.

The prime rib at Sorrento's was excellent!!
The other dishes looked top notch as well. Service was good too.

Had a great time. My thanks to Dave and Jeanie.
And a kudos to those folk who spent time under the hood of someone else's 928.
It's always a joy to meet the great group of 928 people from around the country.

We have something no other car group has, and it looks like the unique camaraderie we share, will continue for quite some time.
Looking forward to Camp 928 and the Frenzy!!

Another epic trip to SITM. The last time I traveled to SITM was 2008. (I brought the t shirt with me to prove it). Then, as now, we were welcomed with open arms and had a great time as we are inclined to do. Rhonda and I have never found a 928 group that was not welcoming, friendly and fun. I have a lots of folks to thank, so I will start now.

Thank you to all who helped get us back on the road after the alternator difficulties I encountered in West Memphis. The outpouring of help and offers of help was truly mind-boggling. To get the car back on the road, we had it towed to Dan and Jill's outside of Nashville and bought an Autozone sold alternator on the way there. Apparently the issue was a bolt broken in the block that mounts the alternator/PS carriage to the block. That allowed the alternator to shift and put undue tension on the alternator bearings.

Dan (Dundertaker) is the man with a plan. and a place and tools to get things done and Jill is the hostest with the mostest. (an excellent cookie maker, hostess and tar cleaner) Thank you both for allowing us to invade your small and beautiful part of the world while working to get my GTS back on the road.

Thanks to Darien for helping all along the way and the many people that he reached out to who responded. Thanks to Bill Ball for his expertise and supervision during the repair. Bill made sure that we did it right and Darien and Dan made sure that I followed directions carefully.

Thanks to Seth Pyle for recharging my AC, thereby providing cold air inside my car for the trip back home.

Thank you to Dave Roberts and Jeannie Roberts for their hospitality and friendliness and thank you for putting this GTG on so that these great folks can get together for all these years. Both Dave and Jeannie got rousing well-deserved rounds of applause at the dinner at Sorrentos Saturday night.

Thanks always to Hans SerVaas for knowing everybody, being everybody's friend, and who is trying single handedly to corner the market on Barley and hops.

It was great to meet all the folks in person that post online that I had never met in person, and great to see the folks that I already knew, but don't get to see as often as I would like.

Let's all not be strangers and do this again.

Great post! I'm pretty sure Hans is invested in specific crop futures.

Great pics and stories everyone. Enjoyed very much following along on this one. Wish I could've been there!

Did anybody take a video of the 928’s leaving the parking lot for the fun run? If so could you send me it please?

Not of us leaving but here is one in the road...we are following Lou (vetter59)

My apologies in advance as Lou demonstrates the difference between a Euro 5 liter and a US 4.7 when we get to the straight...
