It will good to hear Zach's epic campfire story about the back story of this cat-gutting business.
It almost seems there will be a glut of vaccine doses soon. I hope our Canadian friends get some, and the border is re-opened. Or we could meet up at the Derby Line library in Vermont. The line on the floor is the border; Canadians are normally permitted to walk into the US to go in the front door. We stayed in Derby Line for the Porsche Parade a few years ago. Bob got an award:
Glad to learn Camp 928 is on for this year,. I've marked my calender and plan to make it. Looking forward to exercising my OB on those wonderful roads north of camp again.

NY's formal rules of engagement now allow a gathering of our size, sorta. Everything is looking good here in the US - any progress in Canada?
Made a deal yesterday to sell the Macan - for cash plus a 1996 Caprice SS with police package (looks a lot like the photo - I've been somehow attracted to it for years, but this deal was unexpected). The other party is the owner of the Main Street Ice Cream Parlor, the same as in the Cayman-for-911 trade years ago. I hope you all find these new additions interesting, or at least entertaining.
It looks like I might get a shot in April as they are going to start doing people with hi risk conditions.
Beyond that regular folk under 65 will be summer time at the earliest.
Our stupid government also extended the time between the second dose to 4 months. Totally ignoring the drug companies. And they are going to allow the Pfizer vaccine to be stored at reduced temperatures for up to two weeks.
Anyone want to trade Citizenships? Lol
If I get a shot and if the border is open I hope to attend.

Impala, Caprice ... whatever.
For a camp project we can put lights on the top and paint the doors white, put a CB in the dash..............oh the fun!
but Curt, I can’t clay bar and polish it , too big a project!
I'm establishing the "Institute for Automobile Ethics". When I'm interviewed on TV, the chiron will say "Director - Institute for Automobile Ethics", which I think will be very cool. The Caprice SS will be labelled:
Institute for Automobile Ethics
Enforcement Division
I started clay bar'ing and polishing the MR2 Spyder this morning - you'd be proud of me. Looks great so far, but it's a low-acreage car.
From what I've read, Adam, you get full benefit from the first shot. The second shot is so it lasts longer, but they don't really know anything about this yet. Speculative, and I'm cynical enough to wonder if it's just to double revenue. I think Canada (and the UK) are doing the right thing to get infection rate knocked down - but this is a metallurgist speculating. The new CDC rules treat first-shot people as if they were as dangerous as no-shot people, which is goofy.

Reason: clarity
Wow Curt! That car looks great. You have three of my favorite cars of all time now. Due to a long series of family Impalas from 1965 to 1982, I too have been "somehow attracted" to the Impala SS since it originally came out. What is in the police package (option F41?) on that car?
By the way, how many cars do you have now?
I've also heard the first shot does the trick. The vaccine situation is said to be improving here in Massachusetts after a stunningly terrible start and continued gridlock on the appointment websites. Still planning to make it out there if at all possible.

Got more info about the "Caprice SS" yesterday, and will drive it today. No such thing as a Caprice SS in the US, but Impala SS's were badged this way for Arab countries - something unsavory about the 'Impala" name. The PO cleverly got ahold of genuine Caprice SS badges. He's also switched out the final drive to more readily burn the tires, which are mounted on muscle-car sort of rims (originals included). There's a well-known tuner device (in the Impala world) in the trunk. I misheard the police package bit - it only has some features of the police package. It's special for some of these things, but also that it appears to be a salt virgin, at 73,000 miles - looks pretty good underneath. Small town life: everyone is going to ask "That's Bruce's car, isn't it?"
I'll put a 'sale pending' tag on it for you!
Twelve cars on the lot at present (see signature). For some reason, I added up all the manual gears in the fleet: 49 among the 7 MT vehicles - I think I was going to use that figure to defend myself against MT snobs - surely, 49 is enough. Plus Nancy has two cars, one interesting (SmartCar). An imposing 2020 Toyota Supra is stored in our satellite garage across the road, just acquired by Nancy's cousin (Agent 265, my inside guy on the MR2 acquisitions). Anyone get the 'Agent' reference?
I feel like the 'Agent' must be something less obvious but I'll give it a go: Did Agent 007 drive the BMW Supra? Or maybe it's Agent 86, who drove an Opel GT like the beauty at the last Camp 928?
It would take a serious car geek to beat you on gearboxes. To paraphrase Thunderdome, "He can kill most men with his Unimog."

My wife's cousin George turned me on to "Cold War Motors" on YouTube. Alberta. The main guy is very interesting, clever, great metal worker. And has friends who help him and vice versa. The friends are listed in the credits as "Agent 5623", etc. I gave George the name Agent 265; he's been coming by - like an agent - to work on one of the MR2's. He's on his way over now to learn about paint correction.
My cars need some miles this summer, if the border opes, I'll be trying to get out of a golf tournament or two to blast through Sarnia and make the crossing of southernmost Canada.
From those announcing their intentions here, and from direct communications, it seems we may have an epic turnout! I was particularly excited to hear that Dylan and Naomi are planning to return. Alex VanD and his little dog, too; he will be trying to get his vintage RV set up with a trailer. Rob Bud! Giant garage guy!
Here's something odd I've heard from two local restaurant owners: last year was the best they've ever had. Folks figured they were safer up here than the NYC Metro area, plus outdoor recreation was huge. Real estate sales were big, too. (One of the owners now owns two of my prior Porsches, while I own his prior Porsche and the Enforcement Division vehicle.)
