Count me in for now. Would like recommendations for local Motel 6 or equivalent; I have an air mattress, and camp chairs, but no other camping equip.

People have stayed at the Pine Tree motel, just down the road (Rts 8/9), and also Conways. Some have gone with airbnb. The nearest chain outfit is 15 miles away; Lake George Village is 20 miles away. I have lots of tents, big and small, if that's all you need. I encourage camping!

I’d love to be there depending on my schedule with kids HS graduation. My 928 now lives up by you at our house in Ticonderoga on Lake George. We are up there most weekends spring thru late fall.

I try to pick the weekend before our local school systems have graduation - that's something I have to confirm. The other thing is a very large motorcycle rally in Lake George, normally the weekend before - if they're having it this year. [Edit - Americade has been moved to September. For an event of its size, seems wise.]

School is down in Long Island where we live and with COVID, who knows when graduation from HS is or what form it’s gonna take. We are up at Lake George with second home as much as we can. I’ll be up there for Americade with one of the Harleys, great roads up there. The winter festival cancelled this year..no outhouse races😡, guessing no ice bar at the sagamore either.

Just read that Americade has been moved to September. Should Camp 928 be moved to September? No - it would conflict with Frenzy. A bit later in the summer? I've wanted to avoid the busier months here - triggered by the end of the school year - so I think not.

We are now planning a family trip to Cape Cod scheduled around Cat's birthday, which is the 21st, so it looks like I'm out for this year.

I don't know what you've heard, Joe, and I see you're new here, but a wooly mammoth jaw cannot be used to prevent slip in the driveshaft-to-flex plate coupler.

If not Camp 928, try to get to some other 928 gathering soon. "Frenzy" on or about Sept 28 (get it?) in Virginia is the biggest in the east.

Can it be used to punch out a blocked cat?

Maybe, for pre-86.5's. You know what, if I ever start a tool company, it will be Wooly Mammoth Tools.

Meanwhile, I'm doing automotive archeology on a famous archeologist's MR2's. He wrote down every penny he spent on gas, but I'm finding important maintenance info on index cards and on the back of envelopes, stashed in unlikely places. Fun! I'm liking these MR2's, by the way.

Nancy and I are getting our second shots today. Seems like everyone I know is getting their shots, so let's make it definite: Camp 928 will be held this year.

The schedule of events may be different. I don't know if the town will allow the car show in front of the town hall. The restaurant situation may still be limited, so we might make food mostly or entirely DIY, on-site. Precautions for covid will still require some etiquette, at least among those who are not immune - we'll see about that at the time. Jump-post covers will be required - no exceptions.

Good news. Here, we still have a long way to go before the vaccine will be widely available.

I'm scheduled for my second shot Saturday and really need to do a lot of driving in a 928 to cure the whatever else ails me. Dates look good for me so far. I was hoping to have the "Cat Reaming Service" this year but this time on my on my GT since "Corky" has been running and sounding so good after the reaming you guys did in 2019 (without the wooly mammoth jaw). Not sure if that possible without Sean's muscles.
No restaurants may pose issues but I assume and hope that should clear up by June.
BTW Curt, I got the walkie talkies just in case they have not added any cell towers.

Getting my second shot Tuesday ( one advantage of be over 70) so I’ll be there. The GT needs to stretch its legs after all of last years event cancellations.
