All great ideas. Unfortunately, I have gotten a look and tried with SAE and also with torx but nothing fits. Even tried taking a 5mm and filing it down in small steps and tring it each time to no avail.
THanks again

There should be 2 metric Allen socket screws securing the bracket. There are at least two variations of the hall sender bracket on an S4 that can affect access. A thin drive extension is a must, and be very careful not to strip the bolt head by having the driver mis-aligned.

then use a ball end long Allen bit like I shared earlier. This bit is designed for slightly offset use which is what you are dealing with here.
Lastly, ans possibly most importantly, the the way you approach unscrewing the bolt. With bolts that may have seized due to age and are in places where a torch cannot be used, I use a combination of firm but not aggressive (not enough to strip) unscrewing torque on the bolt, while simultaneously using a screwdriver or other implement on the bolt head, tapping lightly with a hammer to vibrate the bolt and break any seized threads.
i was able to swap the hall sensor in 15 min. because of it.

Well, since the last post, I spent all day trying to get the 2 screws out and finally succeeded with the help of a modified stripped bolt head remover, 3 wiggly 3/8" extensions and a pneumatic ratchet.
This was after attempting many other ways.
Bottom line is that they look to be the correct bolts but like everything else on this car, butchered beyond belief.
Now to find the new Hall sensor that I bought from Roger 6 months ago that appears to have gone walk about.
I have new bolts and the correct long ball type allen bit ready to go when I do find it.
Thanks for all of your input in trying to assist me.
