Default 4,500km road trip inmy 86 928

Waiting for the escort, only 45c

Someone had to go into the bushes!

Cleared to go

The gold coast!!!

no more A/C

Plenty more room
Just came across some old pics my wife took on a road trip from Adelaide to the Gold Cost in 2012.
We finished fitting the supercharger the day before!
It was in the mid 30C when we left here. Day 2 in Cobar, the middle of outback New South Wales the A/C hose burst but it was only 45C there.
Recent floods had washed away some of the roads. Actually the road surface was there but the ground beneath the tar was gone! so the traffic was escorted from one side of the dodgy bits to the other by road patrols.
Day 3 took us into the western side of the Great Dividing Range and it got cooler, a bit.
Day 4 and we entered the rain forest and crossed over the range into Queensland and the east coast.
