Default What's your favorite 928 maintenance log app?

Used MyCarFax but it is too limited (small number of fields) and you can't really print the record you build. Looking for something that doesn't involve trees or slippery carbon chain sticks. Ever since that 1st grade nun whacked me with her ringed dragon fingers for not making my letters right I have had an aversion to handwritten notes...

I just keep everything in an excel spreadsheet sitting on a Google drive so I can update it from any device.

I maintain Excel worksheet too. Uses headings date, mileage, description, part number, supplier, cost and then comments. Easy to keep track of total spend too.

In addition I keep another excel sheet which just has the regular service schedule as per the service booklet (all these jobs go on detailed sheet too, so that is complete record). This sheet uses more formulae as it can show time/mileage till any particular service item is due or how far overdue, which updates whenever it’s opened for time and when current mileage entered.

I use an Android app called A-car, but it's gone subscription since I bought it.

i like that it has days entry and logging for many things, as well as reminder functions based on time, mileage, or both.
It imports and exports to a variety formats as well as interesting with the Fuelly site (since Fuelly bought the app and switched it to subscription...)

Default Auto Care 1

I've used Auto Care 1 on my iPhone for several years. I'm pleased with it. It's easy to use and produces lots of useful, and not so useful, reports. It allows you to print your data to pdf, which not difficult to convert to an Excel workbook.

Now Auto Care 3 is available. I've not looked at upgrading, so I cannot tell if the enhancements are worth the trouble of upgrading.

Default Could you post your sheet?

Hello,

would anyone be willing to post their excel sheet in an editable format? I’d love to be able to use it to track maintenance and costs, etc

Oh crap, we are supposed to keep a log? I guess I should have, with slowly restoring (3) at a time…never thought of doing a log….I like the Google drive idea, but a good app seems like the way to go….

Default Autosist

I’ve been using autosist. You can log gas mileage, cost per litre or gallon, log maintenance and sort by year or type, and my fav part is you can set reminders based on years of mileage. So as you log your gas as an example you can put in your mileage and you’ll get a prompt when go change your oil
