Default headlights...how to adjust height?

My drivers side headlamp sits lower (when down position) then the passenger side... need to raise it up a little..is it something I can do at home? or is a body shop needed to do this?
thank you

Are the headlights aiming correctly when up?

There's a bolt head which acts as a stop when headlight is down, that you can access by removing front splash shield. If you wind it out a little you can match the headlight positions.

That position stop that StratfordShark discusses has a rubber cap on it where the headlight support yoke rests on it. That rubber cap deteriorates and falls off sometimes, and is too often lost when some other work (like body work...) is performed. These are amazingly similar to hardware store black rubber feet/tips for table legs. IIRC, the 5/16" size (same as 8mm in rubber dimensions) is the one for this. Replace both sides at the same time so they match.

Thanks DrBob I was trying to remember what the stop looked like, as something was nagging me about describing as bolt head. Of course you’re right - there is a round rubber cover on the bolt that just pulls off.
