Magnus Walker posts a 928 video. (Did I miss a memo?)
This popped up in a FB group yesterday. It was posted by Walker in September, but I don't see any mention of it here. Only a few thousand hits. Precision Motorwerks (sort of) got a mention, but you can't see any of the work Greg did:
Frankly, it's not all that and a bag of chips. The cinematography and sound quality are nothing like the 'Midnight Rambler' video that eGarage created. (God, I would have loved to see a 928 run around LA like this!)

The design though will always be one of my favorites to look at and to cruise in with the top down. Previously owned an ‘84 Cabriolet, triple blue.

Loved the part about how comfortable it was for four adults plus luggage for a trip to the airport. NOT.....
Unless they were all under 4’ tall and/or the airport was less than five minutes from his house.
Do have to say that the crash video appeared to be more about overdriving road conditions. He appears to lock up the brakes when he realizes that oncoming traffic and a car transporter won’t allow him a lane rather than him not realizing the inherent handling of the 911 in a curve.
Also wonder what the warning light, apparent throughout the video, was all about.

A lot of complaints for a guy that raises the value of your cars.

I was glad he did a video, but it definitely wasn't up to the quality of some of his other ones. Still, I'll take it.

I agree, that 928 video was just OK. Still better than the disappointing effort Petrolicious gave us.
Here's a recent video where Magnus talks about his collection. Part 2 covers his 928s. I believe he has two currently.

On principle i shouldn't disagree with a guy that owns a 1970 challenger which i consider the pinnacle of american muscle car, got late to the party but still the hottest.
People that follow Magnus don't want to spend more money for a car because he says it's cool, right or wrong they think they are buying the car for less than they will sell it 2 to 5 years down the line.
Since the 928 is the most value inflatable car relative to her MSRP of any model made by any major brand, cause not only is a Porsche but it might be the best and most reliable GT ever made. If you buy for investing, it might be the last low hanging fruit out there cause they are not made anymore, and if Porsche decided to make a new one that would really make older cars prices go crazy, especially the manuals cause for sure a new 928 will not be manual.
Icing on the cake, Magnus is 50 and not getting younger, GTs or bigger cars are pretty sweet while you age, look at Porsche, Cayenne and Panamera saved them, not the 911 which is loved the most by people that will never be able to afford one. 50+ers were teenagers when the 928 was hot, the design of that car is still futuristic by today standards and nostalgia is so sweet.
Magnus realized some years ago that soon the time would be right, now that he is really big he might give it a shot.
If it works out, there is a new bigger market, and money to be made, if it doesn't work out, well it doesn't cost him anything.

You missed the point. Guys like MW are famous for whatever reason whether you or I like him or not. But he is. So when he gloms onto something, it raises awareness of that something and values go up with it (in this cases Porsches, and in the case of this thread, 928's specifically). The Kardashians raised this type of thing to an art form. I'm happy to see some of these famous types go on about the 928. I would not pay more because of it, but somebody who knew MW and saw that might pay more for mine because of it some day when I sell.
