Question Will this alarm work for the 928???

Hello all,

I was considering getting this alarm system for the 928, but was wondering if anyone else had some experience with it? Looks like it could be a hassle.

Here is the link (2.1 mb video file, right click to save then play):

Alarm System

Cheers,
Mike

Mike I want it too, the problem in the US is that the Unions won't let their members sit in trunks anymore ... something about fumes. Anyway, where would you mount that unit in a 928????

Or you can go the "prevent defense" route.

Looks great... If only they had a version that would sit in the tirewell and leave room for the air compressor, etc.

Pretty funny Mike. Hey, you gonna post a pic of your cupholder mod when you're done?

Garth, did you read the title of the book that he is reading? That's where I had my second big laugh!

Hi Doug,

I have not yet had a chance to strip it and take to my engineer. If I can get reproductions at a reasonable price, I will be looking at a concealed "pop-out" cup holder towards the front on pass side of the unit.

I have to say, when installed I find it so much more comfortable to drive. The raised armrest keeps both arms at the same level when driving. If the cup holder mod doesn't work out, I will defiantly be keeping it in.

Cheers,
Mike

More monkey antics at http://www.suburban-trunkmonkey.com... I really need one of those.

I guess donuts don't necessarily work though.... have to think up some new tactics
