Default 1982 Uk Car CE Board

Hi, can anyone please advise me where binacle wires 11L and 7L are located on CE Board. Not getting any power up to binacle connectors.
Many Thanks
Dougie

The plugs on the bottom of the panel are labelled with letters.

That should be the "L" part of it.

I thought that each side of the plug was the first number and the vertical position was the second.

So "11L" would be the '1' side, 1st wire.
Using that logic, there should be a '1' or a '2' in front of the '7' on your other wire.

So my understanding may be incorrect.

The guys who really understand the electrical stuff are on the West Coast of the US. They aren't up for another hour or so.

looking at the CE panel it starts with A on the left then B etc, L is the white connector next to the red locking tab
the bottom left terminal of the connector starts with 11 and goes up to 15
the bottom right terminal starts with 21 and goes up to 25

well that's how an S4 version works, probably of no use to you but I was just looking at an S4 CE panel when I saw your post.

cheers
Phil

Exactly.
They did this, because numbering from "1" to "10" was way too complex.
Although every other connector in the entire car starts with "1" and ends with the total number of connectors in that connector....

You need G4 not 11L - look at the diagram again - the numbers across the line at the top are the CE panel connections. 7L only connects to the Central Warning Unit pin 1GE - not to the CE panel.

See attached - The CE panels are of 2 different styles 1977-1984 & 1985-1995. The above is incorrect for your year. The attached document explains everything you need - including terminal numbering.

I think Porches strategy for numbering is logical in each case, though using roman numerals for the Relays was a little unnecessary.
