Wondered what happened to him, hope everything is okay with him and his family. He's been pretty quiet lately.

Ed wasn't exactly my favorite person, either in person or on the list, but he DID make things more interesting at times. Now who's gonna flame me when I street race?????

On a side note, is Ed on drugs?????? Almost $25K asking price for his 111K mile GT????? I know it's been taken care of, but the last time I saw it, it was no concours queen. Good runner, and I'm sure that everything works great, but I think that's a bit steep. Especially when you consider the decent '89 and '90 GT's that have gone between $15 and $20K this year. Oh well, I hope he gets it. Might make my '89 worth more. LOL.
Here's to you Ed, whether we saw eye to eye or not.

I for one will miss Ed (and his beautiful wife)...

Even though some of you may have had issues w/ his politics you have to appreciate all that he has done for the marque, as a PCA tech advisor, a concours judge and the founder of the Frenzy.

Take a moment and send him a thank you and fare well.

Mahalo to you Ed,
Scott

I agree, he has given much of his time and done a lot for the 928 community - thanks Ed and best of luck to you!

Chris,

You never told him you were going to chrome your wheels did you? Another of his hot buttons!

I just detest PC, and I doubt I will ever change my mind in that regard.

Sometimes people who are heavily involved in a high profile activity (and thus well informed on the subject) form the opinion that because a lot of people listen to them, they must be right.......about everything.

There is a lot of that going around in hollywood right now........

Doesn't make them bad people, but for those who never get to know them on a personal basis, an impression may be formed that they are taking advantage of a social position which in no way qualifies them to pontificate on matters of public policy.

Thank god for the freedoms most of our societies afford us to speak our minds...........

as a PCA tech advisor
Actually Ed was the PCA 928 Register, know as SIG (Special Interest Groups).

Ed gave the 928 community a lot to talk about
Don't forget, he didn't die, he just going to Europe.
Al Gore gave them the internet too

my polite way of saying Ed pontificated on matters of opinion too often for my comfort...............

Sorry for being inititially so obtuse, actually I should have just remained silent......but,

Ed's preaching style crawled in under my skin and I feel the need to say so.

Doesn't make him a bad person, and I am not suggesting so.....Anyone who adds to the 928 community is to be respected for their contribution.

'nuff said.

YMMV, as Ed was so find of saying.

We didn''t always get along (actually we almost always did). He was a very active and very positive force in the 928 community.
