Vacuum for vacuum advance.
Diagnosing my ignition vacuum advance (1979 K Jet).
I noticed that the vacuum for the advance builds very slowly to 2 bar. The other vacuum lines I tested show an immediate rise of the meter to 2 bar.
I am assuming this is a ported vacuum source. Can anyone confirm this?
Cheers

Been doing some reading. Apparently, ported vacuum came into being with air injection, as the engineers wanted additional wasted fuel To be burned by the injected air without burning the exhaust valves.
As Imhave removed my air pump, I guess I need to also move my vacuum to a non-ported source.
