Default aircon wiring routing

Hi guys,

All the work under the hood/bonnet of my 86.5 is almost ready, but I have one wire I still cannot figure out how it is supposed to be routed.
It is the airconditioning clutch wire. There is a wire coming from the engine harness with a spade connector on the top of the engine, near the throttle position switch.
Is it supposed to run down in front of the timing belt cover? Or along the side of the engine?

Have searched though many photos but cannot seem to find any picture of how it is supposed to be.

Your help is greatly appreciated :-)
cheers
Michel

This isn't a great pic but it's from a very unmolested low miles 86.5, I'm guessing one of those brown harness leads is the wire to the AC compressor:

awesome Rob!

are there any pictures of how its routed to the compressor? I cant find any obvious clips or path where it should go (other than just dangling down )

I'm afraid I don't have anything that goes lower on the front of that particular car. Next time I'm at Greg's I'll try to find a better shot of the compressor area on an 85-86.

Here’s a shot of my 83 from last year. There’s a small clip on the timing belt cover that holds the AC harness in place. Perhaps yours is the same?
