Default Idle drop

Hi everyone my car is an 84 euro auto so no cat or 02 sensors. Recently rebuilt maf
On the weekend I went for a spirited drive and everything was going well with the engine purring along beautifully. Decided to stop for a coffee and just before the car came to a stop it just died, started up ok but wouldn’t idle so the rest of the trip meant breaking left foot so I could keep a few revs on when stopping. Once home I adjusted the idle with the screw on front of the intake and now it’s running properly again. Anyone have any idea what the cause could be? Thank you

I would pull the vacuum lines on the dampers and the FPR to smell for fuel,
if you smell fuel its a good idea to replace all 3 of these parts.

If no fuel smell then remove the check valve from the booster and plug it,
see how the engine runs, your booster could have sprung a leak
