Good morning and hopefully it feels like a Saturday for everyone.

I know there were changes in the engine management from the 1988S4 to the 1989 model year,

Does anyone know if the 1989 ECU wiring harness is the same as the earlier S4?

I may have found two harnesses locally as a core but that’s not gonna do any good if they were mismatched to my S4 running gear.

They are not the same. '89(+) had the ignition monitoring integrated into the Injector supply connections, this doesn't exist on an '88 or earlier

Plus the diagnostics changed, and the connector for that under the right-side cover was added.

Thanks for the confirmation gentlemen . I got a hold of PET and the part numbers are not the same so I think I’m out of luck on this one.
