Default You can't print threads!!??

In an effort to keep us from our own information, IB has messed with the printing function and now the pages are covered with extra text so the pages are unreadable. Again, I'm not sure what the idea is, except to make this forum die. The business sense of the people running this place is amazing.

It's a local issue with how your browser treats the code that "builds" the pages.

In a parallel thread, a poster shared some tools that make it easier to print posts and threads here.

Yes, browser specific, and tools available to parse properly.

You have the ability to save the HTML itself as well. Most sites are like that.

I've tried in Firefox, Chrome and IE and it does the same thing on all 3 browsers.

Not in the habit of printing treads, but I have the same issue with new laptop and Chrome. Even if I save the HTML it does the same thing when you try to print. I agree its probably a Chrome browser issue but poor programming not to check compatibility with commonly used browsers.

I used to save html pages as pdf but the saved threads are very ugly in their formatting. HTML saved as two separate downloads, the page text and a separate picture folder. It took a while but I came up with the best of all worlds.

Get two Chrome extensions (they work with the Brave browser as well):
Save As MHT and Autopagerize.

Once installed, they allow you to save multi-page threads as one long page and save it as a MHT file which puts it all in one file rather than the html and an associated photo folder you get when saving as html. And it looks line the original thread rather than the funky pdf.

Very slick.

Here is this page as a pdf:

And as MHT:
