X pipe configuration
Can anyone tell me who makes this x pipe that I picked up. I have a 82 euro m28/12 engine with a borla twin pipe setup from my cat back. I was thinking of putting this x pipe in but have concerns about losing HP.

Looks like an x-pipe from Jones Exhaust or something similar. Generic piece made to fit a 928:

i suspect it works as good as one we build our own , welding 2 elbows partly together ?
For the 928 we build one to suit the 928MS headers...., but on the BMW rally car i used that "cheap" prefab part ....as it was available in the diameter we wanted.

sorry , don't know what difference it would make.... myself have no dyno results for and after.
And the BMW pic is a 6 in line... not to compare with our V8.
Isn't your X pipe almost a plug&play ? so you can try it without to much work ?

I don’t have a dyno to check for the low end torque band

Just install it - it's easy enough to swap back if you don't like it.
I'm suspecting you'll like the change in sound - I know I did.

my son is 17 and drove the car for the first time and loves the car but said it’s a little slower than his car.

im trying to see how to get the exhaust sound I want and keep the factory low end torque. Maybe resonators but I’m not sure.
