View Poll Results: Do I have to spend Labor Day weekend doing TB/WP?
If you don't, your chances are 50/50 it will end badly.

Bought my 928 in 2012 and put a new Gates TB and a new water pump with a porkensioner all bought from Roger. My next Frenzy is weeks away and the big question is whether I do the TB and/or TB/WP before Frenzy or over the winter. Car has aged 8 years, accumulated 17k miles and seen 4 DE track days since the TB/WP were done.

Hi Otto I would also agree with the others leave it alone and run it!

Ride, ride, ride - let it ride... Sounds just broken in to me... But, change the fluids!

I work on the basis that ideally a water pump owes me 60k miles/20 years and a timing belt 30k miles/10 years so I would leave your set up as is for at least two years and then maybe change the belt. Given you can DIY it really is a no brainer from my perspective at least.
Never had a problem with a belt but I have had two pumps [one a rebuilt item] fail short of the mark.

Ditto on waiting. I'm in the middle of doing mine now, but at 9.5 years and 30k, with a trip to the Greenbrier for PCA Treffen before Frenzy.
Everything looked pretty good, except i did note some corrosion in the water pump area (the white stuff), and the pump itself had quite a bit on it.
I'll admit that I wasn't so good about flushing the coolant every 2 years, but I will be from now on. Also switching from G05 to Pentofost NF.

Otto - I assume you tensioned it properly and once in a while you double check that?
