Relay IV (4) is marked as "X" Buss, so I figured it would stop more than the Fogs from working, however it doesn't seem to be connected (controlling) anything else?

I too have an '85 manual, both Fogs lamps were totally rusted out, I changed them for nice used ones, replaced the bulbs w/ new, checked the wiring multi connector upfront, replaced the relay, no joy
Thanks for sharing, next time I have access to the car, Relay IV is going to get replaced and I'll post the results.

Thanks so much for this post and all the brilliant advice! I was hugely happy to get my fog lights working today, after learning here that relay XII needing to be a 5-pin and the relay IV solution. I wonder if the previous owner had given up on finding a fix? 😵‍💫😀
