Help with 1984 wiring and no start.

Changed injector and seals and now things have gotten worse.. Still no start but it runs perfect with fuel relay bypassed. The real bad thing is I started the car and a tool dropped into the fan and ruined the radiator and fan. I had everything secured in a safe place so I thought. It just sucks. Can a 928 radiator be repaired?. I do have a good radiator shop near by. Also I would need a new fan. Any ideas on what is the best way to go. I am getting to the point of just junking it and not spending anymore money repairing a car that will not start anyway.

Fan and radiator are available. You may find used at 928 International.
This is redneck, but you could run a jumper with a toggle switch to the relay board and up under the dash somewhere easy to reach. You would have a fuel pump switch, also a kill switch. I know the right thing is to diagnose and replace faulty components, but it sounds like you need to drive your car. Don't forget to turn the switch off when not in use.
Good luck,
Dave.

I don't see used radiator on 928 Int'l, or fan.
They sell a new CSF radiator for $650.
Roger at 928srus would have similar and new fan.
It's an expensive mistake, but at least you'll have a new radiator. I had mine fail twice, before I bought a new one.
Sorry for your trouble and frustration. You are a member of a large club of pros and diy'ers who have left tools in the engine bay with various results.

did you check the grounds in the hatch?
many times these cause an unstart
either on the floor or behind the RR quarter liner

I have gone over that area and will look again. Someone does have a battery disconnect on the negative ground that I am unsure of. I will try and post some pics and with advice maybe I can get rid of that mod and get it back to factory.

the grounds i am referring too are a collection of brown wires bolted to the chassis.
