Default mounting CIS fuel distributor

Now I feel I have to ask a real dumb question, even after looking through the WSM Volumes 1 and 1A, and the parts list. It is about time to put all parts of my engine together again, but since I do not have the car and the engine at home (engine is out of the car) I cannot see for myself. Looking through all the parts I just cannot see how the CIS fuel distibutor with the throttle body is fixed to the engine. Do I need some kind og bracket that I overlooked. As I see it now:
The air filter housing sits on 2 brackets.
the CIS fuel distribbutor is fixed to the air filter housing with a piece of rubber hose (OEM)
The throttle body sits on top of that.
The inake manyfold is mounted to the throttle body with a piece of rubber house (OEM)
The intake headers (spider legs) are fixed to the heads and to the manyfold with a piece of rubber hose (OEM)

So to me it looks like the CIS fuel distributor with the barndoor and throttle body sort of hangs freely in space, dangling on 2 pices of rubber hoses.

I must be wrong here. What am I missing?

4 rubber isolators thread into 4 female ports then nuts go on top of the other ends to hold it in place. They're like rubber fuel pump mounts.

Here are the forward 2 (center of the photo in a bit)

Here are the rear two near the red coolant bridge pipe and vacuum hoses

Thanks all. This explains some parts in the parts tray I have for the CIS housing. I guess it is time for some new ones.
Can anyone explain why there are 3 spring compressed screwes that hold the top to the bottom part of the CIS unit while there are so many solid screws that have the same function?

I'm curious about this too. I replaced mine with regular ones and don't seem to have an issue.

One of the great unsolved mysteries of the CIS intake setup. Last time I asked Greg Brown he didn't have an answer either. I have heard guesses about being mitigation for backfires but I don't see how that works since the springs are in coil bind already...
