Default Reacquired our rough 84

Where it all began for my son and I, our first, an 84 5 speed. We put an awful lot of time and money into parts, then on a move, gave it to our excellent local VIR race support shop. They tucked it away 9 years ago. Its back, and we hope to have it driving in a couple days. Rough but solid. We'll see what happens...

This one has a new aftermarket cat from 32v, split into a pair of intermediate magnaflows around the tranny, plus

another one at the back where the pumpkin was.

Also new clutch set, including int plate. Engine sealed, newer axles and brakes, uppers, lowers, inners, outers, on and on. Shame it's so rough, will figure something out for paint. Has a set of excellent s4 seats, ex memory, light blue, that we painted black. I stripped the clearcoat with a razor blade. Tarp cover left blue plastic on it. Last time we really had it out was 2008 SITM where we first met Linderpat and Medicpedic man. And Andrew Olson who showed us the fine art of leading a leisurely tour of the Parkway.

Good times.

It's ok to love the ugly ducklings too.

Seats are S4, maybe '88 or '89.

The bolt holes align.
But the seats don't settle onto the seat rails like the originals do.
