For those of us with a technical interest, the point of discussion lies in understanding what can be had out of a modern system that the LH/EZ cannot deliver in a stock application.
A better analogy is like saying you can fit a 400 mph speedometer but the car will still only go as fast as the power developed by the engine lets it

FMU is a good baseline to start with on your supercharger. It is very cost effective, keeping the kit cost down and the install simple. It will raise the fuel pressure enough on the little 19lb injectors to do the job. But you are talking really high pressure if you want to make decent boost, and you cannot back off the timing to account for the boost.
Sharktuner allows you to install bigger injectors, and tune them in perfectly. Also lets you reduce the timing so you don't get knock. it also allows you to fine tune idle parameters now.
New modern ecu gives you everything you need to do it correctly and make lots of safe HP.
5lbs boost with a FMU is a great starting point for a supercharger install. Then you can take it from there... How much do you want to spend??? PEM's and injectors are fairly inexpensive. But both need to be installed, both take some time. Then you need to buy or borrow a Sharktuner and know how to tune. Going to full VEMs or MS3pro is awesome, but expensive when you start adding it all up. OH Man does the car run sweet with 10lbs boost, COP spark & sequential fuel though

I could add a little more about how the improved resolution improves ignition accuracy and lowers the chance of knock events if you like.

The logistical reasoning alone may well be a sound basis for acquisition but my query is based on the presumption that "Alles ist Wonderbar mitten der LH/EZK und luft puffing maschine ". So, all things being equal can one get any increment of performance over and above that of ST2 in the hands of those who know what they are doing?

After much debate I’ve decided on the 928 motorsports stage 1 kit it looks like a really well thought out and complete solution so should be with me in around 5/6weeks 😀
one question on wb02 has anyone used the innovate mtx-l and been able to use the narrow band output to the original harness for the Ecu ?

I drive an 83 K-jet in Dublin and have the same issue when reading up on supercharging in Europe.
All the enthusiasm and parts are in the US.
How did you get on with the kit you ordered from 928motorsports?
Their stage 1 kit seems to be the easiest route to getting started with supercharging - If I can figure out how to buy it now as I believe company has changed ownership and the website is down.

Hey the kit has been awesome really brings the car to life it’s how porsche should have built these !
I think there willl be new website for the kits it’s just not up and running yet as company was sold recently i hear

Did you finish up with the stage 1 kit?
What was the final spend?
Any hiccups with things not working out as they should/ Last minute modifications etc?
