Default Share 928 plans for the isolation....

Know the response to the pandemic its moving target & varies from country to country, but i'm effectively home bound for 2 or more weeks, as I can work from home advice is to do so. Which gives me a good 2 hours extra in the evenings and no going out, except essentials, at weekend - so good excuse to bring froward some work I planned on the 928.... ordered rear shocks, some bushes and brake pads to complete a light rear end refresh. Thank god for online shopping and delivery, what would we do without it. The shocks look original so expecting lots of exercise and frustration getting them off, but it will keep me sane.

any others with plans?

Seeing a few Irish 928s appearing here maybe we should organise a meet when this is over !
My parts are slowly arriving to re-build the low pressure side of the power steering. I removed one of the rub-strips yesterday to replace it and a strip of paint came away with it as the car must have been re-sprayed with them in place at some point so that’s turning into a bigger job!

Fit a new chin spoiler, internal wheel arches, alternator pipe and fit a new radio.

then, clean it inside and out and after that, clean it again (the pubs are shut - this is the end of days!!).

I'm in the garage all the time so am looking for reasons to get out of it.

Drive them! No passengers and the roads are almost empty! Have Clorox wipes in car so can gas up without any human interaction and leave the pump handle nice and clean.

It rained here this week so the last(*) of the salt is washed from the roads. With everyone quarantined the roads are (for around here) practically empty. This weekend I’ll pull something out and next week hunt for Charim Ultra Strong.

(*) There. I did it: I tempted Murphy. Blizzard next week I’ll bet.

I’m waiting on parts for the first part of tomorrow, I may say screw it and go for an extended drive if the weather doesn’t suck.

Could be 80F in Massachusetts tomorrow, and near the official start of meteorological spring. It is highly likely the ceremonial first 928 ride will happen. Spring (and post-rainstorm salt clearing) is a much bigger deal here than in Texas i suspect.

I wasn't going to mess with this one, but there may be no other choice than to mess with it.

The top end refresh that should have been done December. But December the weather and beach was to inviting.
To be honest - the beach and weather is still in with a chance to win again.

I work for a large healthcare coop, so it will be an interesting time for sure. That said, I talked to majestic moose last night and we are planning on meeting up late next week and emptying my 'Roger timing belt care package'.
