Without cutting a slot in the bell housing (which I absolutely refuse to do) I've never been able to get the bell housing off (to be able to pull the flywheel) without pulling the transmission.

This tool does fit in the bell housing to install a flywheel seal in a manual.

I think your tool is much nicer. I have one like it for the 996 vehicles.

Thanks. I'll keep an eye out for a good used one just to have on hand.

Mine works good on 5-speeds but as we all know, it's a pain to do them on Auto's. That's always on the list to replace if the TT/trans come out.
