What am I missing?
sorry for the purists , i understand, but we all know those oem tools are...cheap stuff.....
I had at least 20 old timers... first thing i do is scrap those "remaining" in the bin... more made to hurt yourself than to do some serious work !

Good point Barry. However, if you will gather all of those crappy original tools up and ship them to me they will be out of your way and I'll pay the shipping. Let me know how much that wil be. My address is in my avatar.

Left section top to bottom, then left to right:
Speed wrench handle (stored in the two slots on the right closest to the edge with the offset part resting on top of the screwdriver)
Addtional screwdriver insert
Screwdriver with one blade inserted
Tow hook
5 double open end wrenches
Right section top to bottom:
Spark plug wrench T insert
Spark plug wrench
Pliers
(BTW: Thanks, Dave and Jeannie!)
Note: Sunroof wrench is stored in the glove compartment per the owners manual. The tire iron is in a slot adjacent to the spare on the side toward front of the car, the jack is in a pouch stored behind the toolkit as mentioned above. Also, just my $0.02: Think twice about changing tires on this puppy. The newest spare ever made is 25 years old and is a seriously demanding application for old rubber. Assuming you can inflate the spare, the jack and the lug wrench are, ah, minimal.

My 928 coach called it that so it stuck in my head.
You are of course correct - that's its intended use. But it also can be used for any allen bolt that is the same size (forget what size that is, though - 6mm?).

sorry to disagree… it is just at the road side you need the best tools ! In the garage you have choices , can improvise… with those stranded, you are limited to 1 crap tool... be honest , nowadays we have perfect tool kits with modern quality material… no way to compare with those cheap oem kits.
I know purists collect them to have a concours car … not to use them, and i understand. Sometimes at silly prices…. crazy.
