The connections between the fuel rail and the pressure regulator/dampers obviously have a sizing specification- anyone happen to know what size/system they are?

 

I believe they're M16x1.5, torque is 22 ft lbs. The tech spec book calls them 'union nuts to fuel distributing pipe'.

Doubtless a good starting point- presumably the spec will have a name or convention- I would expect such to be a metric version. Gives me something to do further search with- I drew a blank from a general search on google.

 

The only spec I have been able to dig out that looks sort of compliant is ISO 8434-2 which shows the sealing face using a 37 degree plain compression face. My instincts tell me this is more like the spec that is used in the AN connectors. I believe the Germans use ISO specs regularly but could well be wrong on this one.

Any thoughts?

 

I spent a few minutes googling around for a DIN standard describing metric fuel fittings but did not find anything. Will keep looking.
