Default Tires

Hi All

I need new tires for my recently purchased 1989 928S4. It's currently riding on Kumho's. What should I get? I'm in Raleigh NC and I value a smooth ride.

I have Nitto Invos on 3 of my 5 Porsches, including the 928. Just bought a new pair of rears too.

Excellent dry grip and very good wet grip with the asymmetrical tread pattern.

Pirelli just started making the P zero tires in 16 inch sizes for the 928 staggered rims in the S4

For the OP it would be helpful if you also mentioned the rim sizes you have on your car otherwise everyone is guessing

Don't think you can go wrong with Michelin PS4S assuming they have your car size. COSTCO has a $149 rebate, however that's probably still a little more than Kumho's. Tire Rack is another source.
