Default Body type ID features Question(s)?

I was recently bidding on that 79' MY Euro, Green , Auto. .
I noticed that it had the front/rear spoiler pkg.
I know that the 82' MY, Weissach came standard with the spoiler pkg.
I believe the 82' MY S model also came with the spoiler pkg as a standard item.
I have several Questions concerning the body pakaging-excluding body side mouldigs-.
1. What year was the front/rear spoiler offered as an option?
Reason I ask is that I have seensHARKs as far back as 81 MY with the pkg factory installed.
Also the lady who was selling the 79'MY Green, Euro said her father imported the car with the spoiler pkg already installed.
2. What was the last year of a standard, completely clean 928 body style -no spoiler pkg-?
Reason I ask is I am currently bidding on the 83' MY, Red, Auto -Huston- and there is no sign of the spoiler pkg.
I know this gets us back into S, S2, and grey line cars, plus Weissach's, Club Sports, etc..., but I am looking for difinitive, black and white if possible info.
TIA

Hey John, I think I saw the car in Houston that you are talking about. If it's the same one, it's actually parked on the side of the road in The Woodlands. I stopped to look at it this morning but it started to rain. I'd be glad to look at it for anyone interested. $7950 was what the sign said.

AFAIK, the spoiler package started with the '80 "S" (Euro) for ROW cars, and '81 as a package for US cars.

I suppose a late ordered '79 could have had them added as they would have been in the parts bin by then, and if you were in the know. More likely that someone bought the '79 w/o spoilers, saw the '80 Wspoilers and had the dealer add them?? Or that the '79 was on the showroom floor when the '80 "S" arrived and the dealer ordered and installed them.

The S poiler package was installed by the factory on all Euro S cars. (1980+)

The non S Euro 928 was avalible untill 1983.

The US cars recived the S spoiler package on the "Competition" package option. Along with an LSD, and the larger brakes. (1981-82)

The US 83 928 introduced the US version of the S, which recived the S spoiler package.

It's all on 928s4vr.com

Good luck.

Jeff,
That's the one.
Wouldn't you know it, no one has outbid me yet and that silver 861/2 pop's up with a buy me now price of $5900.00
What's going on? That's 3 86/861/2 in a row going for under $6500...
V-Units,
Thanks.
I lost that site... when I had to F disc due to a registry virus that could not be wiped. Still have no audio after reloadof 95/98.
Might just wipe again and load 2000 or my "found on the roadside Mellenium install pack,
I'll load the site to favorites again.
Jim V.
Could have been an add on but they would have to have done it in Europe.
BTW no cat or O2 was on the Green Euro.
