I was pretty much at the 25K limit as well then said, what's another $1,250 in the grand scheme of things. I am going to have to let go of a couple in the near future but right now they are all members of the family!

Thanks guys, the fact that the car goes to Kevin actually makes me very happy. Sure sad to see her go, but I know she is in good hands. Plus I'm offered first dibs to buy her back in the future! How can you beat that?

One thing that never changed is the spirit of the community, I never stop being amazed of the quality of people , real people, on this board and in these forums. I guess its time to change my signature
Thanks to ALL of you guys

Great talking with you today Danny! I'm honored and excited to be able to care for this car in it's next chapter! As I said on the phone and to immortalize it here on the list, if your EVER decide you want her back, just call and it's yours for the same price. We are all just caretakers of these wonderful machines and it's great when there are stories with them!

WOW!
Great to see that the car is staying in the Rennlist family. I would have been in the final auction bidding were it not for a scheduling conflict. Had I known it was going at this price...
Bottom line Is "congratulations" to Kevin for acquiring this gorgeous specimen and have fun bringing it up to the next level. I look forward to parking next to you at some event in the future!
And Danny, I sincerely hope that your leg continues to heal and that you are free from complications soon...

Let us know the steps you take to get it into the country and how it goes. There is an article from Haggerty that shows the process as being fairly straightforward and easy!

Working the import process now. So far the paperwork end doesn't seem that complicated. My main hurdles right now are: 1. i am trying to get a pickup estimate as I want to fly up and be there when they pick it. Just to make sure they have everything they need to get it across the border as there is an hourly charge for delays due to paperwork etc. 2. Danny has several parts as well as the D90 wheels which I want to bring along, the transport company is telling me I can have up to 100 lbs of stuff in the car, every part must be listed on the import documents along with country of origin. Nothing can be in the front or back seats and all windows must have a completely clear view. I have a message into the transport company to see if they can transport wheels separately.
Danny has been super and is going way above and beyond by keeping the car in his garage until it can be picked up. the transport company is closed tomorrow for Family Day so more to follow on Tuesday when they open back up.
