Has anyone replaced the OEM antenna with something like a universal Hirschman electric antenna or is it best just to get a used original antenna from 928 INTL?

In short, what are the options for a stock looking electric antenna replacement?
If you have difficulty repairing your antenna. I recommend the Hirschmann Auta 2050 which is a popular model. That's what I put on my 84 928S. If you go to the parts diagrams the Auta 2050 is a OEM replacement part. I had a similar problem, but mine stopped working completely. I bought from the antenna here.
