That was a nice car for the money.

Be very wary of this one - do your homework. When it was on BaT, there was lots of discussion about the accuracy of the mileage. Also, the winning bidder apparently ended up not closing the sale, so there is more back story there.

I just found a 1978 low miles original car over in Europe. Will keep it there until this summer and drive it there for a while. Will post pictures at some point. Might be open to another OB 5 speed with pasha or interesting interior. Has to be superb shape.

Great. Could-you, please, share pictures and information about your 1978?
Congratulations!

I have a 1981 (I know it's outside or the years you're looking at) in mocha brown with brown/cashmere leather, 21k verifiable miles, original everything in outstanding condition:

Have original 16" phone dials with what appears to be original rubber + a refurb set from Jim @ 928 Classics with new rubber. Have the pictured wheels in storage and could go with car but, they need to be refinished.

Chuck - those C3 wheels look great - what did you have to do to make them fit? Did you have to roll the rear fenders, or add spacers?

Thanks Ed. They're not on the car now but, as I recall they're a direct fit without spacers and didn't roll fender lips. Fronts are 8x18 57mm ET and rears are 10x18 58mm ET. Have two sets in storage. One set is perfect condition w/o tires and the other set has tires (have a few miles left on the tires....) and wheels are presentable but, I would refinish them...
