Default ET 23 phonedials on rear?

16” ET 23 phone dials come 7” and 8” wide.
Will the 8” fit on the rear without rolling the fenders, or would I need to stay with the 7”?
Either with 225 50 or 245 45?

I need to edit this as it appears that this wheel will fit, read the following post

stock ET for the 928 is ET65

Those dials are for the 944 and side by side they look different beyond the ET

I beg to differ Stan. This is an ET 23 with a 225. It won’t rub but a 245 will unless you roll the inner lip. You won’t have to roll the panel itself out.

Well Thanks for posting that picture, I stand corrected, it looks like it will fit BUT,

the point I am making is that the 928 Phone dials in 16 inch are cut differently than the 944 wheels are,
maybe is because of the dish of the rim.

Is the picture a 7” or an 8”?
I know what they came on, and I know they look slightly different because of the offset and outer edge, but the difference is minimal.
I know what the stock offset is and plan on staying with that on the front.
A wider rear track without spacers is what i’m looking for.
I haven’t decided if I want to roll the rear fender edges.

That's precisely why some people prefer the 86 951 rears to the 928 and later 944 versions.

They are 8”. The outer offset edge is what I like most about them. The fronts are the 928 ET65 and I think they look great together.

I apologize as I was supposed to get back with you on a price for a pair. I have a couple if are still in need. Let me know and I will shoot you a price.

I can add that I also run the 944turbo (ABS version) rear rims 8x16et53 at the front with 225/50.

No rolling needed. Just add a tiny bit of Camber.

How long is piece of string?

Depends:

-A 245 tire is not a 245 tire. They are different size depending on brand / Type / square shoulders etc.
-Is the car standard height? Is it higher than std spec.? Lower?

I added very little camber (Still within specs) on a lowered car 86' with a Toyo 245 rear tire. No issues.
