Today I became the owner of a very rare colour '85 auto. Marble Grey.

Does it run well or are you going to fixt it up for racing? Looks nice. I'm getting to like white...even it is gray looking.

:-) it grows on you. Harvey, this baby has 81k miles and runs like the day she rolled off the line at Zuffenhausen. She's been neglegted but driven exactly like a daily driver all her life. The passenger seat looks as if no-one's ever sat in it, there are no cracks or warps and carpet is brand new. The coconut hair is still brand new and smells new :-) She was smoked in so that will take a bit of refreshing but the ashtray has not been used.

When I drove her, she shifted and accelerated and held the road like a true Porsche. I was very impressed.

Dan, no way the owner (who owned her since 2890 miles) changed a single thing. All-stock. I really think she's a rare find. She has a few areas of body damage, such that she needs a new driver's fender.

I really like the old style rear, nice car!

When I can afford another 928 after getting the GT supercharged I might just get a car just like that as a daily driver.

Curious what you paid for her (PM me if you'd prefer)....very nice find. I like the color combo too.

Hey, isn't that an 86.5??? The plenum/intake isn't the typical "spider" that the earlier 928s had. I thought that was ONLY in the 86.5 Sharks.

Cheers and enjoy!

Looks almost like it was just driven out of showroom for first time.

Landshark OZ could use those pictures.

:-) I got her for a steal, let's just say ... Tim, the tube intake was on all first 32V cars, ie all 1985 and 1986 except Euro. The 1986.5 was basically a 1985 with S4 brakes/suspension. Erkka, I mailed Leonard Z ... hopefully he will post my baby there in the colours section.

Now I need a fender.
