At first glance not a bad job overall, but the front end looks too 924-ish and the cheese grater vents on the doors are..., well, plain crappy, for lack of a better honest description.
The ***, however, is neat and clean and sexy. Slap a nice wing on there and it'll look like a 70's Calvin Kline ad...
dp or not, I can't see cultured European styling in this one. It looks too much like a Miami pimp hotrod to me.
Maybe some better looking wheels will make the whole package look better?

DP means Design Plastic.
This was the firm that made the body of the 935s modified by the Kremer brothers.
I have an article about an identical 928 but in blue with the right rims.

Samuel

There cannot be too many of these 1982 DP Zirkelbach widebody 928s out there...thanks for sharing. Did you take the photos of the car? Nice work! I agree with Abby...very DP 935-like. Damn those Kremer Bros DP935s were somethin' else! How many HP were those things pushing anyway (700 to 900+hp)?
Best,
Tim

I'm not a Porsche purist. I think that there are many styling additions and mods for the 928 that look fabulous. However I have to say that I really don't like anything about this car with the exception of the rear end.
The useless Testarossa style door air intake louvers on the side are waaay tacky. I am not fond of those mirrors, IMHO the aero mirrors are perfect for the car. The wheels look like they should be on some rapper's Cadillac Escalade. The S rear spoiler assy has character and looks good on the S, but with this much body modification, why not go for an S4 wing?
We all have our oun tastes, but to me personally, it screams rice.
That being said.... it is still a shark

The pictures were taken and posted by a friend of the owner and I've sent him the link to this discussion.
I agree that everything is not tastefull but wild things can have an attraction to them even though they are not the most beatiful thing in the world.
I really like this car since it captures the time when I grew up and began to be indoctrinated with Porsche cars. And that it has a GTS parts makes it very exciting.
A Porsche is not for everyone, and a 928 is not a Porsche for all Porsche fans.. And to make it even sharper that DP928 is not for every 928 fan.
I love unique cars that clearly show that they are being loved by their owners/caretakers... Man I'd like to own a DP935 someday, or a car just like this red one..

Remove the Testarossa style sides. Reinstall the round pop-up headlights. Get rid of the stickers. After that the car would be a real looker. The rear could also be improved with a GTS spoiler. Looks to be well kept.

Is that the PHAT 928 in the early stages, or another car completely?
Same Koening Kit, I'm guessing.
Not sure I like those grooves in the back.
Do you have a side view picture?

hmmm. Its well done... but I just dont like it. My favorite has got to be the russian "alien" 928... although I think (know) I am in the minority on thinking the color works well on the alien.
